The Wishing Tree Returns!

Make a child’s dreams come true at The Harpur Centre this Christmas!

Last year you helped thousands of children have a happier Christmas but this year we want to support even more…

The Wishing Tree at The Harpur Centre is back in partnership with ECP Bedford and proudly supported by Heart Radio. Children across Bedfordshire benefit each year from the Wishing Tree so make sure you are part of something special this Christmas.

Between Thursday 3rd and Thursday 17th December, The Harpur Centre is inviting shoppers to visit The Wishing Tree unit via the Horne Lane entrance to donate a gift for an underprivileged child this Christmas. To get involved, all you need to do is buy a present for a child or teenager and hand it to the wonderful volunteers from ECP who will be at the unit each day during the campaign. Your present will make a real difference and will give a child a reason to smile this festive season.

Every day up until Thursday 17th December, the team will be in the shop in between Supercuts and The Calendar Club on Horne Lane for presents to be dropped off. This Christmas, we are supporting numerous agencies and charities across Bedfordshire to make a disadvantaged child’s Christmas truly magical this year.

So, how does it work?

  1. Whilst out shopping for gifts for your loved ones, have fun picking up something extra for a child or teenager who might otherwise go without this year.
  2. Deposit the unwrapped gift to the collection desk at The Wishing Tree unit next door to Supercuts.
  3. Take a picture and share with your friends to help us to support local charities.
  4. Enjoy the warm feeling from making a child’s Christmas special.

What happens next?

Make sure you drop your gift off by Thursday 17th December, and the presents will be quarantined for 72 hours, wrapped and safely delivered to local charities in time to give thousands of children a reason to smile this Christmas.
